Busch wins at St. Louis
#8-Kyle Busch won the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway. The win is his 3rd win of the year, 1st at WWT Raceway and 63rd career win. #11-Hamlin finished 2nd followed by, #22-Logano #5-Larson, #19-Truex, Jr., #12-Blaney, #99-Suarez, #24-Byron, #34-McDowell, and #4-Harvick.
#8-Busch started from the pole, led 121 laps on the day, took the lead for the final time with 56 to go and remained the leader through six restarts and an overtime finish. The race was red flagged on three separate occasions: First, for 1 hour and 45 minutes on lap 6 due to repeated lightning in the area; Second due to track cleanup following a wreck by #42 Gragson on lap 198; Third for wall repair after an accident involving #2-Cindric, #3-Dillon, and #47-Stenhouse, Jr. on lap 119. There were 5 lead changes among 10 drivers and 11 cautions for 67 yellow flag laps.
