Ricky Stenhouse Jr wins the Daytona 500
#47-Ricky Stenhouse Jr won the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway. The win is his 1st Daytona 500 win, 2nd win at Daytona and 3rd of his career.
#22-Logano finished 2nd followed by #20-Bell, #17-Buescher, pole winner #48-Bowman, #16-Allemendinger, #99-Suarez, #12-Blaney, #1-Chastain, and #15-Herbst.
The race ended under caution during the second overtime attempt. Stenhouse took the lead just before caution during the first overtime attempt and was out front at the time of the final caution. Most of the race was calm with only one natural caution prior to the end of stage 2. The race ran 212 laps for 530 miles and was the longest Daytona 500 by distance in history.

- Stage 2 was won by #1-Chastain
There were 53 lead changes among 21 drivers and 8 cautions for 38 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 145.283mph.

Facts: KKMT & FC Racing tie for the win at Daytona with 212 points. They beat T-bone & Buck by 1 point. You have until Wednesday to Challenge the points. A reminder to check your driver teams and the points for the first few races to make sure there are no mistakes. If there is, don’t hesitate to contact me. Also, even though NASCAR shows a 0 beside your driver name, I give the points per position. There is a 0 because they are not running for Cup points.
