Blaney wins at Iowa

#12-Ryan Blaney won the Iowa Corn 350 NASCAR Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 1st at Iowa and 11th career win. #24-William Byron finished 2nd followed by #9-Chase Elliott, #20-Christopher Bell, #47-Ricky Stenhouse Jr., #22-Joey Logano, #4-Josh Berry, #48-Alex Bowman, #99-Daniel Suarez, and #6-Brad Keselowski.

Blaney dominated much of the race, leading 201 of the 250 laps.  His only competition early in the race was pole winner #5-Kyle Larson. Larson was strong early, leading 80 laps. However he was involved in an accident just after the start of the final stage, requiring lengthy repairs. He finished 34^th. There were 17 lead changes among 9 drivers and 8 cautions for 49 yellow flag laps.

Facts: The Plumber #1 wins at Iowa with 212 points ($300). They beat Sunshine by 8 points. That makes 18 different race winners. Union Thug moves back into the standings lead, 11 points up on Phastphuckers.

#16-Allmendinger scored 1 point even though there is a 0 for his score. 1 point for last place. Remember, it’s the car/team you picked, not the driver.
