Briscoe wins at Pocono
#19-Chase Briscoe won the Great American Getaway 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway. The win is his first win of the year, first at Pocono and third career win. Pole sitter #11-Denny Hamlin finished 2nd followed by #12-Ryan Blaney, #17-Chris Buescher, #9-Chase Elliott, #42-John Hunter Nemechek, #5-Kyle Larson, #60-Ryan Preece, #6-Brad Keselowski, and #2-Austin Cindric.
The start of the race was delayed by just over two hours due to rain. Briscoe led 72 laps, the most of any driver. However, he was short on fuel at the beginning of the final restart, but able to save enough to make it to the finish without issue. The fastest lap bonus a earned by #11-Denny Hamlin. There were 11 lead changes among 9 drivers and 7 cautions for 31 yellow flag laps. The average speed of the race was: 130.199mph.
