Buescher wins at Richmond
#17-Chris Buescher won the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 1st at Richmond and 3rd career win. #11-Denny Hamlin finished 2nd followed by #8-Kyle Busch, #22-Joey Logano, #41-Ryan Preece, #6-Brad Keselowski, #19-Martin Truex, Jr., #10-Aric Almirola, #3-Austin Dillon, and #4-Kevin Harvick.
Buescher took the lead during the final round of green flag pit stops and held off Hamlin following a late race caution. Pole winner #45-Reddick led 81 laps on the day. He was running in the top 5 when he had a commitment line violation during the final green flag pit stops, fell off the lead lap and finished 16th. There were 18 lead changes among 8 drivers and just 3 cautions for 21 yellow flag laps. Other than stage breaks, there was only one caution, due to a spin by #99-Daniel Suarez with 9 laps remaining. The average speed of the race was: 98.783mph.
