Hamlin wins at WWTR
#11-Denny Hamlin, won the Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway. The win is his fifth win of the year, first at WWTR and 59th career win. #19-Chase Briscoe finished 2nd followed by #9-Chase Elliott, #12-Ryan Blaney, #22-Joey Logano, #42-John Hunter Nemechek, #20-Christopher Bell, #23-Bubba Wallace, #17-Chris Buescher, and #54-Ty Gibbs.
Hamlin started on the pole and led 75 laps on the day, the most of any driver. He took the lead for the final time with 24 laps remaining and pulled away to win by 1.6 second. The fastest lap bonus a earned by #11-Denny Hamlin. There were 15 lead changes among 9 drivers and 10 cautions for 52 yellow flag laps. The average speed of the race was: 98.262mph.
