Byron wins at Las Vegas
#24-William Byron won the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 1st at Las Vegas and 5th career win. #5-Larson finished 2nd followed by #48-Bowman, #23-Wallacem #20-Bell, #2-Cindric, #19-Truex, Jr., #31-Haley, #4-Harvick, and #99-Suarez.
Byron led 176 laps on the day but was trailing Larson late in the race when a caution came out with two laps remaining. #19-Truex, Jr. stayed out under caution, with #5-Larson and #24-Bryon restarting behind him. Byron took the lead on the restart and held off Larson the win. Pole winner #22-Logano hit the wall and spun into the infield on lap 183. He was unable to continue and finished 36th. There were 13 lead changes among 8 drivers and 5 cautions for 24 yellow flag laps. The average speed of the race was: 142.980mph.
