Logano wins at Phoenix

#22-Joey Logano won the NASCAR Cup Series Championship race at Phoenix Raceway and the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship. The win is his 4th win of the year, 3rd at Phoenix and 36th career win. This is his third NASCAR Cup championship. On the final restart of the race, he was in 6th place, but moved to third on the first lap of green and took the lead on the second. He never relinquished the lead, but did have to hold off a late charge by teammate Blaney.

#12-Ryan Blaney finished 2nd followed by #24-William Byron, #5-Kyle Larson, #20-Christopher Bell, #45-Tyler Reddick, #23-Bubba Wallace, #9-Chase Elliott, #17-Chris Buescher, and #99-Daniely Suarez.

Pole sitter #19-Martin Truex, Jr. finished 17th. There was a red flag of nearly 6 minutes just before the start of stage 2 after the pace car hit the barrels in front of the pit road wall when coming on to pit road. There were 16 lead changes among 9 drivers and 4 cautions for 33 yellow flag laps. The average speed of the race was: 106.203mph.
