Byron wins at Atlanta
#24-William Byron won the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 1st win at Atlanta and 3rd career win. #1-Chastain finished 2nd followed by #45-Busch, #99-Suarez, #7-LaJoie, #9-Elliott, #17-Buscher, #19-Truex, Jr., #22-Logano, and #48-Bowman.
Byron took the lead from #23-Wallace with 9 laps remaining and held off late charges by Wallace and Chastain to grab the win. #20-Bell took the checkered flag in second, but was penalized by NASCAR for dropping below the red line to advance his position. He was credited with 23rd. Pole sitter #14-Briscoe finished 15th. There were 46 lead changes among 20 drivers and 11 cautions for 65 yellow flag laps.
