Hamlin wins at Richmond

#11-Denny Hamlin won the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 4th at Richmond Raceway and 47th career win. #4-Harvick finished 2nd followed by #24-Byron, #19-Truex, Jr., #5-Larson, #20-Bell, pole sitter #12-Blaney, #48-Bowman, #18-Busch, and #3-Dillon.

Using a different pit strategy late in the race, Hamlin came from more than 14 seconds back over the final 25 laps to take the lead from Byron with 4 laps remaining. There were 13 lead changes among 7 drivers and 5 cautions for 35 yellow flag laps. The average speed of the race was: 97.447mph.

• Stage 2 was won by #19-Truex
